The Corner

The Jake Lingle Society

While the corrupt and decadent world of mainstream journalism celebrates the publication of a nothing story by David Corn and largely turns its dainty face away from reporting on the new poster boy for NARAL Pro-Death America, “Dr.” Kermit Gosnell, along comes another story for them to briefly acknowledge and then consign to the memory hole. Welcome back to the world of the Consequence of No Consequence:

The daughter of the Rev. Jeremiah Wright — the controversial former pastor to President Barack Obama — was indicted today in an expanding federal probe of a state grant tied to a former suburban police chief.

Jeri Wright of Hazel Crest is accused of helping former Country Club Hills Police Chief Regina Evans convert fake paychecks from Evans’ nonprofit to Evans’ personal use, allegedly hiding money that was supposed to be used to train minority and female workers in the building trades.

Federal prosecutors in the Illinois’ central district say Jeri Wright received about $28,000 in grant-tied paychecks in 2009, but $20,000 of that was deposited back into accounts controlled by Evans. Prosecutors also say Wright then lied to officers and a grand jury.

The charges emerge about a year after Evans was charged with fraud in relation to a $1.25 million job training grant awarded to her nonprofit, We Are Our Brothers Keeper.

So let’s see, Ms. Wright, Jesse Jackson, Jr., Rod Blagojevich, Tony Rezko . . . nope, can’t see a pattern here. Can’t imagine which national figure from Chicago ties them all together. Just can’t figure it out. Better get an investigative reporter on it, maybe, one of these days.

As I’ve shown beyond a reasonable doubt here, the Democrats have always been a criminal organization masquerading as a political party, but not since the heyday of the Tammany Hall/Organized Crime axis in the 1920s and ’30s have they been this blatant about it. The difference now is that they have a complicit media on their side, actively working for them, both to attack the Republicans and — more important — bury the various bodies in the back yard of Page Z-28 when necessary.

Jake Lingle, call your office. Or better yet, call Al Capone. He’s in charge now, and all is forgiven.
