Japan Vs. Ussr

It should be noted, by the way, that the USSR had their own engagement with

the Imperial Japanese forces, at the nearly-forgotten but tremendous Battle

of Halhin Gol, in Mongolia, in 1939. The Soviets wiped out two Japanese

divisions, after which the Japanese decided to strike south rather than
