Jarhead

Major Tucker was way too kind in his review of Jarhead, a real piece of trash. Swofford was a malcontent who never got the blanket party he so richly deserved. But hey, since Vietnam, Swofford is the go-to kind of guy that Hollywood loves. Jim Webb tells some great stories about trying to work with those jerks. I know Bing West and his son are working on a screenplay based on his Fallujah book, No True Glory, which I reviewed recently in National Review. I hope the movie Bing envisions gets made, but in today’s Hollywood, who knows.
