Sessions: Trump Has ‘Not Asserted Executive Privilege’

Senator Angus King: In any of your discussions with the president about the question of the firing of James Comey, did the question of the Russia investigation ever come up?

Attorney General Jeff Sessions: I cannot answer that because it was a communication by the president, or if any such occurred, it would be it would be a communication that he has not waived.

King: But he has not asserted executive privilege?

Sessions: He has not asserted executive privilege.

King: Do you believe the Russians interfered with the 2016 elections?

Sessions: It appears so.
