Jesse Jackson: Protests Against Zimmerman Verdict ‘Ought to Be Massive’

Rev. Jesse Jackson told Chris Hayes on Tuesday evening that the Zimmerman verdict is representative of the “retrogression” of justice for African-Americans.

He believes that the Trayvon Martin case is connected to the SCOTUS Voting Rights Act ruling and the “rigid states’ rights laws” that continue to violate the rights of black citizens. Jackson argued that there should be “massive” protests – carried out “with dignity” – against this “season” of injustice.
