Jihadis & Secularists Cont’d

From a reader:

Yeah – The Iran and Syria connection is a great example of how jihadis and seculars can easily work together whenever its in their best interests.  But there’s a better example.   The Kossack types on the left love to tell us about how “we” armed Osama Bin Laden in the eighties (and by implication, caused his assent in terror circles.) let me get this straight. Bin Laden and the CIA – really the epitome to them of all that is crusading Western Imperialism –  can get in bed for a decade, but Sadaam won’t touch a Jihadi and vice versa because of the secular cooties thing? Do they even listen to themselves?
