NR’s own Jim Geraghty was honored at tonight’s Ronald Reagan dinner at the Conservative Political Action Conference with the Conservative Journalist of the Year. Congrats to Jim!
The recognition comes for Jim’s great and always-worth-reading work on National Review’s Campaign Spot blog and popular Morning Jolt daily newsletter, as well as regular articles to National Review’s website and magazine.
He joins past winners such as the Washington Examiner’s Mark Tapscott, the Washington Times’s Ralph Z. Hallow, and syndicated columnist Ann Coulter.
Upon hearing of his award, Jim offered one comment: “I demand a recount.”
William F. Buckley promised he’d do the same thing when asked what he’d do if won the 1965 New York mayor’s race. Geraghty, thankfully, has not aired the idea of running a major municipality.
