A lewd photo of Joe Barton – taken by himself — has found its way online (I have not seen it and hope not to). The Washington Post wrote a story about the imbroglio, and Barton is the latest to get caught up in Pervnado. Barton was having a consensual affair while, he says, separated from his wife, and it ended up going pretty disastrously wrong. But he didn’t harass anyone, the woman wasn’t underage, and it’s not clear what he’s supposed to be guilty of except contributing to his own embarrassment. Certainly, this is a far cry from the other congressman who has been the focus of attention in recent days, John Conyers, who seems to have run his office, in large part, to serve his libido.
