We discuss the primary results in South Carolina and Michigan, assessing what those results say both about Nikki Haley’s modest protest movement and the similarly meager revolt against Joe Biden from his left — the difference being that while Donald Trump appears to recognize that his opponents from within his own political coalition are small in number, Biden does not. Can the president avoid falling into the Jimmy Carter trap?
