Professor John Eastman is a major constitutional scholar, and a litigator too. He’s the guy whose brief on standing laid out the arguments the 9th Circuit ultimately adopted in the Prop 8 case.
He’s also my successor as Chairman of the Board of the National Organization for Marriage. At the CPAC panel on the “phony divide” between social and economic conservatism, I got the chance to introduce him to a lot of conservatives who didn’t know him. He wowed them.
