I’m not as anti-suit as John Fetterman, but I always prefer jacket and tie with pants that are actually comfortable. That’s neither here nor there, though. I’m not a U.S. senator, and if I were, I wouldn’t want to disgrace the institution by looking as though I’d just wandered in after spending the weekend on my couch watching football, and maybe doing a little light yardwork in between. Yet the Senate is changing to accommodate Fetterman. Please, try to tell me we aren’t a civilization in serious decline!
