As Charlie notes, John Fetterman was painful to watch tonight. It wasn’t his fault — the man is recovering from a stroke. He was barely coherent at times and had trouble getting his points across throughout. He had a particularly terrible moment when he was asked about releasing his medical records and insisted that it wasn’t necessary in the course of a jumbled, repetitive answer.
The moderator asks Fetterman twice if he will release his medical records. Fetterman rambles for a while but does not give a yes or no

Then, he simply couldn’t address his flip-flop on fracking:
Moderator: "You’re saying tonight … that you always supported fracking. But there is that 2018 interview that you said 'I don’t support fracking.'"
[long pause]
Fetterman: "I do support fracking and —I don’t, I don’t, I support fracking and I stand and I do support fracking." pic.twitter.com/3zE8D9Xc8o

The night exposed as a ridiculous lie the contention, made repeatedly by Fetterman and his allies, that he just has trouble with a word here or there. And emphasized how shameful it was that a social-media mob swarmed NBC reporter Dasha Burns for clearly telling the truth about how Fetterman didn’t understand her before they sat down for a closed-caption interview. Disgracefully, Fetterman’s wife, Gisele, who knew the truth better than anyone else, encouraged the attacks on the reporter.
Now, everyone in Pennsylvania can see what they were trying to hide. The Republicans’ odds of winning the Senate just went up.
