Your post on the Kerry campaign making up words–”misleadments”–instantly
made me think of the silly Miller Brewing Company “President of Beer” ads
in which Miller’s candidate for the post of President of Beers yells at a
debate moderator, “You’re turning this debate into a travesty. And a sham.
And a mockery. It’s a traveshamockery!”
Has a campaign hit rock bottom when it’s become an unintended parody of a
television beer ad that was itself only a semi-humorous parody of a real
campaign?
