Just So We Know Who’s in Charge . . .

In 2020, the New York Times published an extensive report on Donald Trump’s tax-return information, which it cryptically said it had “obtained.” Its then–executive editor claimed the paper did “not want to jeopardize our sources, who have taken enormous personal risks to help inform the public.”

This is from today’s Times report on the Democrat-controlled House Ways and Means Committee’s reports on Donald Trump’s tax returns:

The Times’s findings were cited several times in the report, and helped shape the direction of the committee’s investigation.
