Kasich: ‘Everybody Ought to Relax’ with Calls for Me to Drop Out

John Kasich told conservatives calling on him to drop his 2016 bid ”to just relax.” Appearing on Face the Nation this morning, the Ohio governor said, “People want to consolidate – they ought to consolidate my way.”

“These guys have spent $50 million in the campaign and I’ve spent about $15 million,” Kasich told John Dickerson. “The fact of the matter is a lot of the money they spent has been designed to hammer me, negative ads against me.”

Speaking of the remaining states, Kasich said, “I don’t have to win these places, I just have to hang in there and continue to gain momentum.”
