The Mystery Pollster is a good place to go for informed opinion about the various polls that are starting to come out. In particular, he notes that the SurveyUSA “tracking poll” that is showing a souring of attitudes to the President uses automated polling techniques, and so is “less than optimal.” That’s putting it mildly. This sort of thing used to be known as Computerized Response Audience Polling, and the acronym just about sums it up.
