I know Kerry served honorably in Vietnam. But does that really exonerate him from any criticism of his record? Whether you’re offended by his anti-war activities or not , I think Kerry’s effort to be on both sides of the Vietnam issue could come back to bite him because it will be perceived as a metaphor for wanting to be on “both sides of every issue” — as the Dean campaign is fond of saying.
