I am thrilled that President Trump has announced his intention to nominate Kevin to be the chairman of the Council of Economic Advisers. National Review magazine readers know Kevin (long of title, he is the State Farm James Q. Wilson Chair in American Politics and Culture at the American Enterprise Institute) as the fiscal brain who writes the much-followed “sidebar” entry for The Week. NR cruisers, and plenty of others, will also know him as the decidedly decent, bright, and cheerful economist who refuses to spin. Trump deserves big kudos for this decision — which was far too long in coming, but now that it’s finally here, thanks be.
