I’m surprised no one’s commented on EJ Dionne’s column today. It was news to me that Doug Kmiec was denied communion because he now supports a pro-choice candidate. This isn’t really in my wheelhouse, but this sounds like a bad idea. Kmiec isn’t a politician, which seems like a key distinction.
