That is simply great news, at least from a Republican standpoint. If I were a GOP strategist I would just love to see the Dems argue that people who support the Patriot Act etc are just a punch of frady cat pansies. Wouldn’t you just love to see how, say, Rudy Giuliani or John McCain would deal with an argument like that?
Now, speaking as an American, that one of our two major parties would run off the rails like that is not such an appealing prospect. But perhaps the Democratic Party can only get better by getting worse first.
