On Special Report tonight, Charles Krauthammer tried to explain Hamid Karzai’s outlandish behavior. He suggested accepting “the irrationality of the irrational” with Karzai, as you would with Kim Jong-un. Krauthammer also postulated that the “mercurial” Karzai is “unstable.” According to Krauthammer, the only possible understandable reason for Karzai’s behavior is that his failure to gain control of Bagram prison led to this grandstanding to save face with the Afghan people.
