Krauthammer’s Take: Black Vote ‘Last Firewall’ of Support for Hillary

The black vote is critical to Hillary Clinton’s campaign as it represents the “last firewall” of dependable support, Charles Krauthammer said tonight.

“I can’t see BlackLivesMatter being attracted to socialism in the abstract presented by Bernie Sanders,” Krauthammer said on Thursday’s Special Report. “They know what they have in Clinton. They know what they’ve had in the Clintons over 30 years, which is very staunch support.”

Krauthammer predicted if black voters do abandon Clinton, it won’t come until after South Carolina:

The problem for her, it’s her last firewall. She lost men by 36 points in New Hampshire. She lost women by 11. She lost the under 30s by 5-1, she lost the 30s to mid 40s by 2-1. There is not a lot left. But I don’t see the break happening in South Carolina. If it does happen, it will be later, where the African-American vote is not quite as predominant as it is in South Carolina, where it’s about half the Democratic vote.
