Krauthammer’s Take: Boehner ‘At Risk of Going Overboard’ Unless He Gets Serious Concessions on Spending

Charles Krauthammer argued on tonight’s edition of Special Report that, if he doesn’t manage to negotiate a deal that includes serious spending cuts, he’s now “at risk of going overboard” because he’s given so much on taxes. Boehner, says Krauthammer, “probably made a mistake in caving on rates,” but, having done so, he should remain adamant about spending cuts. Krauthammer points to Reagan’s experience in the 1980s, noting that Republicans are prone to get “swindled” on the spending issue.
