Krauthammer’s Take: Christie’s Rubio Hit a ‘Political Suicide Attack’

Despite Chris Christie prevailing over Marco Rubio in their final debate skirmish, Christie hurt himself and other “mainstream” candidates, Charles Krauthammer said tonight.

“You can score a big hit on somebody but that doesn’t guarantee you’re going to succeed,” Krauthammer said on Wednesday’s Special Report. “In fact often it hurts you as well.”

“What happened to Chris Christie was a political suicide attack, where he looked a little bit, I thought, overbearing,” Krauthammer continued. “But even if hit no effect on him, it didn’t help him. By bringing down Rubio, which Rubio admitted, it helped all of the other so-called mainstream candidates.”
