Krauthammer’s Take: Climate Change ‘Is a Matter of Almost Theology’

On Sunday, Secretary of State John Kerry compared the threat of climate change to the threat of the proliferation of weapons of mass destruction, all on based on the notion that climate change is “settled science.” Not everyone agrees that the science is as settled as Kerry says.

“The idea that this is all settled is absurd,” Charles Krauthammer said on Special Report tonight. “Newton’s laws were considered settled for 200 years until a patent clerk in Switzerland turned them over with a single paper in 1903.”

President Obama isn’t shrinking from making claims about climat change, either, claiming that the drought on the West Coast is global-warming-related, even computer projections suggest the West Coast should get wetter as temperatures increase, Krauthammer said.

“All of this is driven by this ideology which,” he said “in and of itself, is a matter of almost theology.”
