Krauthammer’s Take: Democrats ‘Completely Hypocritical’ on SCOTUS, ‘Almost Embarrassingly So’

If the roles were reversed and a Democratic-led Senate were facing the prospect of a lame-duck Supreme Court appointment from a Republican president, “everyone knows” Democrats would “be making the reverse argument” they’re making today, Charles Krauthammer said tonight.

“The argument from Elizabeth Warren and the others on both sides are completely hypocritical, almost embarrassingly so,” Krauthammer said on Monday’s Special Report. “Chuck Schumer said that he would recommend — there’s 18 months to go in the Bush Administration, 18 months to go, and said he would recommend to his colleagues not to confirm any nominee from this president.”

As to whether the Senate entertains a vote on any Obama nominees, Krauthammer said:

This is a tactical decision. I think this is the moment of his life for Mitch McConnell. He’s the ultimate Senate tactician, he knows the rules, he knows how to get around things. This is purely a decision, a political decision, how best to turn this guy down, or girl down, whoever it is. And it could go one way or the other. That’s nothing but tactics. In the end, the Republicans have to be absolutely united on the fact that they will not accept an Obama nominee one way or the other.

Good Riddance to Kamala Harris

Per Edward-Isaac Dovere, Kamala Harris is no longer running for president. This is excellent, welcome news -- the cause for celebration. Good riddance! A Tyrannical Minority and Silent Majority

The document was produced by a major ... Read More

Impeachment Is a Political Fool’s Errand

Having demanded Donald J. Trump’s impeachment ever since Election Night 2016, Democrats are on the verge of getting what they want. They’ll be sorry. The Democrats’ “bombshell” hearings fizzled like wet firecrackers. Hypnotic witnesses expressed policy and stylistic differences with President ... Read More
