On tonight’s edition of Special Report, Charles Krauthammer argued that, while the Hagel nomination is being delayed, it’s unlikely it will ultimately be denied. He attributed the delay to the GOP’s desire to “look into the speeches, the income that he hadn’t disclosed.” “Let’s actually see what’s in the speeches that Hagel had not disclosed,” he said.

Krauthammer contrasted the situation with that faced by former U.N. ambassador John Bolton, whose nomination was prevented from reaching the floor before he received a recess appointment from the Bush administration.
