Commenting on the threat-assessment hearing that took place on Capitol Hill today, Charles Krauthammer noted that, while the threat posed by Iran’s acquisition of a nuclear weapon has “slipped out of our consciousness,” according to the timeline set forth by former secretary of defense Leon Panetta, Israel should have attacked Iran six months ago.

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said at the United Nations in September that Iran would cross his red line in the spring or summer. “Well, spring starts next week,” Krauthammer said.
