Krauthammer’s Take: Muslim Brotherhood Has Lost Its Oppositional ‘Aura’

The Muslim Brotherhood has lost its popularity in Egypt and is greatly diminished, Charles Krauthammer said Wednesday night.

Speaking on Special Report, Krauthammer said that the Brotherhood had enjoyed the sort of popularity unique to opposition groups.

“Having always been in opposition, [the Brotherhood had] the sheen and the aura of people who promised a future, promised Islam is the answer,” Krauthammer said. “Well, after a year of demonstrating what happens when they rule, you had millions of Egyptians who wanted these guys overthrown.”
