Charles Krauthammer said on Special Report Friday evening that the resignation of Secretary of Homeland Security Janet Napolitano “will have no effect whatsoever on the immigration debate,” even though she has been an antagonist for Republicans who support more border security.

“It all came from above, from Obama,” Krauthammer argued, citing the administration’s selective enforcement strategies and Obama’s efforts to enact portions of the DREAM Act. Napolitano is merely a “symbol” of the president’s immigration policies, he said.
