A historical perspective on the 2010 midterm elections:

I think it is the midpoint in a really epic four-year debate the country is having on the size and scope of government. I think Americans were surprised by the ideological ambition of the Obama administration and the Congress — doing Obamacare, financial reform, a stimulus of a trillion dollars … The reaction was expressed on Election Day.

But the debate on whether we want smaller government of enumerated powers or not is what the 2010 election was about — and the answer comes on Election Day in two years.
