Krauthammer’s Take: Obama Fix ‘Lawless’

President Obama’s move to extend canceled health-insurance policies is “lawless,” Charles Krauthammer said Thursday night.

“This is another example of Obama rewriting a law unilaterally and nobody is complaining,” Krauthammer said on Special Report, declaring the lack of criticism from both sides of the aisle “embarrassing.”

Krauthammer said Obama made the move in order to cover for congressional Democrats. The administration, he said, was worried about a “stampede” of House Democrats voting for a bill from Republican representative Fred Upton, the “Keep Your Health Plan Act,” which would allow insurers to extend canceled policies for a year.

Krauthammer predicted that, because of Obama’s extension, only a few House Democrats will cross the aisle to vote for Upton’s bill.
