Krauthammer’s Take: Obama Lying Brazenly about His Amnesty Plans

On Friday’s Special Report, Charles Krauthammer said that President Obama has lied about his reasoning for waiting until after November to take executive action.

“When [President Obama] spoke to Chuck Todd, he prefaced the lie — the idea that it had nothing to do with politics — by saying, ‘Now I’m being honest here,’” Krauthammer said, “which is always a sign — when you hear it from a politician — to reach for your wallet.”

The reason Obama is not publicly announcing executive action on immigration now, Krauthammer said, is because it would be a top story (alongside the threat of the Islamic State) in the media between now and Election Day. Democrats across the country would then be incapable of escaping questions about the issue and it would hurt them significantly, Krauthammer said.
