Krauthammer’s Take: Obama Is Negotiating with Iran Out of ‘Weakness and Desperation’

On Friday’s Special Report, Charles Krauthammer said the Iranians do not believe President Obama will impose sanctions on their country if current negotiations fall through. The Iranians know Obama is negotiating because of his “weakness and desperation,” Krauthammer says.

“Nobody, including the Iranians, has any faith in the fact that [Obama] will actually impose sanctions,” he said. “What he’s telling the Iranians is, “I’m exerting no leverage over you. Everything is off the table. I’m trying like hell to get an agreement that you will support and that I can sell as a fig leaf.”

Krauthammer went on to pick Iran as his winner of the week because of how the country has taken advantage of President Obama.
