Krauthammer’s Take: Obama’s Behavior in Video Featuring Selfies Is ‘Distasteful’

Charles Krauthammer said when he first saw BuzzFeed’s video of President Obama taking selfies and making funny faces he found it amusing. But his opinion changed after he learned when the video was made.

“The idea that you could diminish the dignity of a president who gave a one-on-one [interview] with someone whose claim to fame is bathing in a tub of Froot Loops is a rather paradoxical one,” Krauthammer said on Special Report. “But when I learned when he did it…after you learn of the beheading of an American, that makes it truly distasteful.”

Krauthammer added that the president’s decision to make the video shows his lack of seriousness, but did not diminish the office of the presidency.
