Krauthammer’s Take: POTUS Dissembles on Obamacare’s ‘Unintended Consequences’

On Special Report, Charles Krauthammer pointed out President Obama’s “clever” rhetorical gambit in the president’s recent remarks about Obamacare. “The president said, ‘Nothing in the plan will require you to change your coverage.’ That’s a very clever construction. It is true, technically true . . . but, of course, so much is changing in the system . . . that people are going to lose [their coverage].”

“It’s called an unintended consequence,” said Krauthammer. “The arrogance of altering hundreds of elements of the single-most complex social system in the country, health care . . . and imagining that these experts in Washington are able to predict exactly how the parts are going to interact is utterly insane.”

Krauthammer also noted that the potential scandal of HHS secretary Kathleen Sebelius raising private money to pitch Obamacare is “the Obama administration’s own Iran/Contra.”
