Krauthammer’s Take: Sending Unaccompanied Kids Back on Buses Will Send a Message to Not Risk Lives

The Texas border crisis of undocumented child migrants from Central America involves “two separate issues with two separate answers,” Charles Krauthammer said Monday on a Fox News Special Report.

First, the U.S. must control the border without perpetuating the crisis. Second, the migrant children must be dealt with humanely.

Krauthammer proposes the answer to the first issue is simply to return the children on buses to Central America, “at which point it will be understood that you’re putting all your kids in danger for no reason.”

For the second issue, he said American personnel should set up centers for the children in Central America, rather than in the U.S.
