Krauthammer’s Take: ‘Toothfairy Has Stronger Reality’ than Obama’s ‘Community of Nations’

Charles Krauthammer laid into President Obama for telling Steve Kroft in last night’s 60 Minutes interview that ISIS will eventually be defeated by the “community of nations.”

“There is no such thing as the community of nations,” Krauthammer said on Monday’s Special Report. “The tooth fairy has a stronger reality than the community of nations.”

“Unless he means the U.N.?” Krauthammer wondered. “The U.N. can’t repel an army of the smallest country in the world — it’s completely powerless.”

“What is the community interest between, say, North Korea, Britain, Togo, and Argentina?” he asked. “There is none, but he seems to believe the arc of history is long but it bends toward justice. So one day, maybe in a 100 years or 200 years when the Middle East is rubble, millions are dead and scattered around the world, justice will be served.”

“But he’s the president of the United States” Krauthammer continued. “The world depends on the U.S. for peace and liberty. But he says, ‘It’s not our job, it’s the community of nations.’”
