When Ben Carson endorsed Donald Trump today, he said there’s a second Trump we rarely see, one who’s “cerebral” and considerate. Trump, speaking after Carson, insisted there’s just one Trump. Tonight, Charles Krauthammer came down on Trump’s side, “I tend to side with Trump on this. I think there’s one Donald Trump.”
Krauthammer, appearing on Friday’s Special Report, said it was “odd” Carson felt obligated to say in his endorsement that Trump “can actually have a conversation.”
“That’s not exactly a high bar for the presidency,” Krauthammer continued. But his endorsement will serve as a “character witness,” since “everybody kind of likes and respects Dr. Carson.”
