Washington — Sen. Jon Kyl (R., Ariz.) tells NRO that he disagrees with Washington Post columnist Charles Krauthammer, who opined Friday that Senate GOP leaders were “swindled” by President Obama on the tax deal.
“With all due respect to Charles, I think he got that one wrong,” Kyl says. He adds that he’ll have more to say on the matter later today.
Sen. John McCain (R., Ariz.) was more cagey when pressed for a response to Krauthammer. “I’ve always enjoyed Charles,” he grinned, as he made his way into Kyl’s office.
