In New Jersey, Art Laffer has thrown his support behind former Bogota mayor Steve Lonegan (R) for his flat-tax plan. In the most recent poll, former U.S. Attorney Chris Christie (R) leads Lonegan, 39-29, with 29 percent undecided. The primary is June 2.
Both Republicans lead incumbent Gov. Jon Corzine (D) in the Rasmussen Poll — Christie has the larger lead with an 8-point margin.
