Today on Uncommon Knowledge, Thomas Sowell, author of Intellectuals and Society. With attendance at colleges and grad schools rising over the last few decades — and with an administration determined to redistribute still more resources to higher education — is the United States becoming a nation of intellectuals?

It’s a chilling thought. We’re becoming a nation of people who are propagandized from elementary school right on through graduate school in a certain vision of the world. Only the few, for one reason or another, stop and say — “wait a minute!” — they are the only ones left that we have to depend on.
