The Corner

Lash man standing

A helpful Dem reader advises:

You know, how a person deals with adversity is a good test of  character. THe corner is facing adversity. You are promoters of the  republicans and your side is getting trashed. And most of you are  acting like junior high schoolers. It’s all bitterness and lashing  out and hysteia. It’s pathetic. It’s a joke. Ideally shouldn’t the  party that is always talking about character show some grace in  defeat and acknowledge Obama’s achievement? Shouldn’t the party that  is always taking about patriotism be trying to figure out how to work  with Obama for the good of the country? Shouldn’t the party that  keeps telling us that they should be running the country be acting  like grown ups instead of spoiled children?

Oh, dear. I’m sure we’d love to acknowledge Obama’s achievement, but unfortunately he hasn’t achieved it yet and won’t be achieving it for another two weeks. Sorry to be boringly nitpicky about elections and voting and so forth. So the only spoiled children are those who can’t wait for Santa’s scheduled arrival and are demanding to unwrap their presents on December 12th.

But don’t worry, it won’t be much longer now. Tune in in the early hours of November 5th for the NRO Grace In Defeat special. Alternatively, join us for the all-time Grand Slam Masters Super Bowl World Cup Olympics of bitterness and lashing out. Which one we opt for is a commercial decision, so I’m leaving it to the suits in marketing.
