Last Bit On Carter’s Training

From a reader:

Carter’s nuclear training consisted of six-months classroom training and six-months of hands-on training at a prototype (i.e., operated a land-bound

Navy nuclear propulsion plant under supervision). The program produces

excellent operators, but they are definitely NOT nuclear physicists. I say

that as a guy who holds BS & ME degrees in nuclear engineering and has

worked with a lot of ex-nukes.
