One more, because I’m getting many along these lines in response to the previous Conn.-email post:
Your reader implies that an abundance of Lamont signs and a paucity of Lieberman signs may reflect popular sentiment in CT. Perhaps. But the truth may be even more sordid. Connecticut is a Blue State, after all, and a Lieberman sign there – much like a Bush sign – could be feared to incite vandalism. I still hang the Stars and Stripes from my Greenwich Village window on holidays – though with a bit of trepidation as we have large windows and small children – but the better part of valor is not to be too conspicuously to the right of the reality-based community, at least where one’s real estate (or, for that matter, automobile) is involved.
