Oh, let’s drop the “spending money like drunken sailors” cliche. First of all, drunken sailors don’t spend as much as this Congress has. Second, drunken sailors spend their own money. Third, they deserve too. And fourth, it’s just a tired and dull thing to say. How about saying, “spending money like pimps at a chinchilla sale.” Or, “spending money like Salon magazine.”
