Washington — White House Press Secretary Robert Gibbs has told reporters that the administration’s airport-security screening policy will “continue to evolve.”
“We must do everything we can to protect the public,” Gibbs said. At the same time, he said, administration officials, cognizant of public concerns, will work to make the screening process as “least inconvenient as possible.”
Gibbs called the administration’s approach a “balance we will continue to search for . . . based on intelligence and feedback,” and acknowledged that finding such a balance is “not an easy task.”
