Leftism being all about power to reconstruct society, its advocates have never had much use for freedom of speech — except for themselves, of course.
Which is why America’s leftists are eager to stamp out dissent, never mind the First Amendment. Out in the state of Washington, firmly under the boot heel of “progressivism,” a law has been proposed that would create a commission that would pass judgment on ideas that could lead to “extremism.”
Here’s the story.
It sounds like Biden’s “Disinformation Board,” which has gone underground.
People like Washington’s governor Jay Inslee and his AG Bob Ferguson have no qualms about silencing dissent from any of their statist policies. Will any elected Democrats in the state say “no” to this? Let’s watch and see.
