I write today about the “equal pay” debate. Rachel Maddow and Alex Castellanos tangled about this on Meet the Press on Sunday. My favorite part of the exchange was when Castellanos started to explain the reasons why women make 80 percent less than men, Maddow interjected, “Don’t tell me what the reasons are.” Which captures the Left’s attitude about that statistic perfectly — it’s meant as a cudgel pure and simple.
