Less Trade Efficiency Needed

According to Politico Pro:

The world trade system needs to become less efficient for people to feel more secure, U.S. Trade Representative Katherine Tai told an audience of global policy elites on Wednesday.

It was the latest sign of how U.S. trade policy has shifted away from traditional free trade objectives espoused by business groups like the U.S. Chamber of Commerce in the direction of goals espoused by AFL-CIO labor federation and other groups concerned about the impact of imports on jobs.

What could go wrong?
